If You Want to Receive, Give!

Sometimes we give this prayer/declaration to people who are struggling with poverty/ in need of financial breakthrough:

"Jesus came that I might have life, and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) He desires me to prosper. (3 John 1:2) Hallelujah!"

He promises to prosper us financially as we put His kingdom first (Matt. 6:33)...

...God's Economy

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." (Luke 6:38) We don't have to ask people for money or aid- in God's economy if we give to His people, people will give to us. This write-up itself is not an appeal for money, either! Rather, the truth is that most Christians to do not realize what a blessing it is to give- the reasons why God requires 10% from His people is to bless them.

Testimony: "the first time I ever tithed to the Lord was when I had a summer job as a camp counselor. When it was all said and done, I had made a little over $1000.00 I felt convicted to give- so I gave 10% exactly to a mission that feeds the poor. Only two days later, I received a cheque in the mail from a relative (who never gave this much before or after) for $500.00- 5x the amount I gave. In Hebrew biblical theology, 5 symbolizes grace!"

Testimony 2: Recently, a priest in India who receives a very small monthly allotment gave nearly all that he had to a young girl at the church, who asked for money to buy breakfast. He gave, and received in the offering 5x the amount! Hallelujah!

According to Luke 6:38, if we give money, money will be given to us. This is why God asks us to give 10% of what we receive to Him (Deut. 14:22-26; Proverbs 3:9; Mark 12:41-44) - so that He can bless us accordingly.

In God's way, the way out of poverty is not receiving, it is actually giving to God and He blesses us.

The tithe firstly belongs to the local church- but giving should also include the missions, foreign and domestic. Many people give 5% to their local church, and 5% to missions around the world. This is an excellent way of doing it. Yet, so many people don't give 10%- many don't give at all!

If we don't give, we can't have expectant faith to receive.

Give to God by blessing your local church. Consider giving into Canadian missions today, as well!

In July 2020, a donation was received for $1500, which was sent to a priest friend in India. He was able to purchase a motorbike, which extended his mission to the villages in the outer regions of his parish.

In August 2020, $50 was given, which was used when the next day, a desperate person was unable to leave their house to buy groceries due to health reasons.

Our benefactors are enrolled in our daily prayers and monthly Masses.

God loves generous people! (2 Cor. 9:7)

Prayerfully consider giving today a one time gift, or becoming a monthly supporter.

Consider including Heart Two Heart in your will or estate. Perhaps it could be gifts of "homes, buildings, lands" (Mark 10:30) for God's mission.

What is God asking you to do?
